Notes

Thinking traditional IIPA here...

---Starter----
1.5 liters for 2 days

----Mash----
Mash at 153 degrees F for 75 minutes

  • Total --> 7.5 gal
  • Mash --> 5.2 gal @ 168 degrees(target 153) --> first 75 min, vorlauf, drain to kettle
  • Sparge --> 2.5 gal @ 181 degrees(target 168) add water, mix, vorlauf, drain to kettle
  • Kettle --> 7 gal
    AERATE
    **Whirlfloc tab at 10 minutes
  • Maybe we try a secondary in a bucket (high risk high reward)?

    **Crank the gas at 10 minutes when the chiller is dropped
