Using the following:
Strike: 5 gallons
Sparge: 4 gallons
( my previous calculations suggested this for a 12-12.5 lb grain bill. and this was almost 12). Factoring at 65% efficiency.
Using these water calculations, I ended up a bit short on volume. Goal was 5 gallons in fermenter, but I believe I ended up just a slight bit above 4 gallons due to having too vigorous a boil.
gravity at 1.057. Possibly just increase water usage by a gallon as well. |

Notes
Brewed: 6/7/2020
Mash 60 minutes.
Boil 60 minutes.
Ferment 7 days or until fermentation slows.
(Suggested siphon to secondary and bottle when fermentation is complete.)
Recipe targets:
IBU: 13
SRM: 13
OG: 1.053-1.054
FG: 1.011-1.012
ABV: 5.4%
Fermentation started 6/7, really got going with a nice krausen following day.
After I bottled, this beer was fairly dark, colored like it had too much caramel almost? I was informed this particular clone is darker than other Weiss beers. I carbed far too low on bottles.
