Had some pilsner and Amarillo hops laying around, thought I'd put them to use.
We use RO water. Trying to do a better job of adding the actual additions of minerals to the beers I post here.

This beer was brewed on our 1 BBL pilot unit at New Magnolia Brewing, Houston, TX. I had left over pilsner malt and some Amarillo hops from another beer so thought I'd do a SMaSH. Fermented the beer and then kegged it out and lagered it kegs in our walk in. Color turned out a nice golden straw and the clarity was perfect. Light floral aroma and a hint of malt. Flavor was of sweet, soft fruits, fairly delicate though. Malt flavor was fairly subdued and the bitterness was crisp and perfect for me. Finish was medium and fairly dry. Maybe a touch of diacetyl, but if so, super light. No nationwide medal winner here, but a refreshing and solid beer that I think many folks will enjoy. 3.8 out of 5.
