Notes: Steep the crystal 60 in 10 Litres of water at 70 degrees for about 40 minutes, remove grain and add DME bring to a boil and brew just as you normally would. Aroma hops added at flameout. Cool and strain to fermenter. Ferment at 20 degrees. Carbonate to 2.4 volumes of CO2. |

Notes: Clean 3gal bucket
Prepare yeast by sprinkling into a cup of clean water - let rest
Boil hops in 3L~1gal water for 30min
Meanwhile add malt extract and sugar to bucket, rinse malt container with varm water to get all
At 30min, pour in hops and add cold water to 2gal
Let cool to <30C
Add yeast
Cover
Fermentation will take ~1 week and 1 more for the beer to drop clear. Transfer to bottles and add 8grams sugar per litre (~1 heaped tsp per 500mL bottle)
Carbonation takes 1-2 weeks. |
