Target Water Profile
Dublin (Dry Stout)
Notes
Copy of Chocolate Coffee Stout II, but with experimental HBC 472 hops. We'll still use apollo for bittering.
This mash will be close to full kettle volume, use more sparge water.
Roast cacao nibs, then make a tincture with vodka.
Note for the cacao nibs: 250ml of 40% alcohol will raise 4 gallons by 0.5% abv.
2020-12-19: Decreased HBC 472 slightly.
After the beer aged 6 months and the harsh flavors died down, the coconut flavors became much prominent. The coconut was a weird flavor, not bad, but weird. This batch had bad mash efficiency, so I'm just decreasing it a little.
