Notes

Used rain water from an overhead thunderstorm - always wanted to give it a try...collected about 8.5 gallons in my kettle and then strained it through a "hop bag"...sediment was removed..then boiled the water for about 15 mins...let it cool to strike temp 162 and then mash in - 135pm - holding at 154 - will stir every 15 mins...PH is approx...230pm dropped to 151 - should be fine...lifted the bag and squeezed to get 6.5 gallons...added grains to compost pile and off to the boil! 45 mins of .5 Magnum - trying to knock down the slightly higher bitterness from 60 mins. Hit all of the timings and nailed the OG - 1.51-2! In the fermenter 424pm

Fermentation temp was too high and to be honest the color is awful...dirty dish water...I will need to make adjustments.

But it's in the keg and I am drinking it!
