Notes
11/27/16 Brewed and yeast starter pitched. Fermented at 66f for 7 days. bumped up to 68f to help complete fermentation.
12/7/16 Fermentation complete, FG: 1.013. Added 4 ounces of dry hops
12/9/16 3oz of whole coffee beans (Parliament Coffee Roasters - Night Owl blend) added in muslin bag to fermenter for 24 hours.
12/10/16 Began cold crashing
12/11/16 Racked to keg and began force carbing.
Tasting notes: Best homebrew to date. Great malt profile with a great chocolatey/roasty flavor and good hop bitterness and character. Coffee aroma and flavor came through great without being over powering, with a good citrus hop aroma that balances nicely. Incredible head retention. Insanely drinkable, can't help but go back to the tap for more. Interested in brewing again and attempting a version without the coffee but it'll be tough cause this is just so good!
