Notes

Create tincture of nibs. It's best to soak the nibs in vodka (cheap) for a couple weeks prior to adding the whole thing to secondary.

You can add the husks to the tincture if there's room, but that is not necessary for husks. Nibs impart more bitterness than husks, the vodka neutralizes a good bit of the bitterness (not all). This recipe has a fairly low IBU as you'll still see some bitterness with addition of cocoa nibs.

General rule on nibs - 2 to 4 oz per gallon. 2 is light cocoa and 4 is heavy cocoa. Since we're using husks for aroma I split this recipe down the middle at 3oz per gallon.
