brewed last night. nailed the OG and volume.

filled the MT to the brim and added more water to the HLT. when I sparged I filled it to the brim again. I did not use those last runnings I get when I lift the bag to drain, that was maybe another gallon of wort I couldve used, wouldve had to boil longer. I basically boiled until I was about 7 gallons then started my 60 min boil timer. had some caking on the bottom of the fermenter.

i tried pulling yeast from my dark lager through the valve but didnt get that much so i ended up having to keg that batch to get to the rest of the yeast cake. it is bubbling away this morning.

New recipe! combining suggestions from CB&B and a gold medal winner from AHA

Hoping for 10%er maybe will BBA some of it but setting this up for 55% efficiency and 9% maybe ill get lucky and itll be higher.

Using yeast cake from dark festbier / lager
