Notes
Tasting Notes
8/11/2025: Kegged version. Warm, biscuity aroma, some caramel notes (darker), touch of coffee. Cloyingly sweet... flavor is rounded, nice (remember, you added baking soda to this to add to raise the pH). Medium mouthfeel, no hops flavor evident, but the bitterness does hold back the sweet. Not the best version of this based on this tasting.
8/7/2025: Tasted a bottle conditioned version. The aroma is nice and light with a touch of spice. The taste is OK, bland(ish), rounded, nothing fancy. The maltiness really shines. That is something to pump up. I'm happy with this beer overall.
Recipe Notes
7/6/2025: Keeping the water balanced and pushing the hops up a step to balance the sweetness of the beer... thinking of upping the Centennial to add a bit more punch.
