used balanced profile for water. Gypsum 4.5g and CaCL 5g for mash

From previous red ale recipe

2024 recipe malt is the same. Hops different. Will let ferment longer.

mash 6 gallons

April 2025 og 1.063 fg 1.020 5.54% (80+ efficiency)
9.5 marris. Will do everything the same next except decrease the marris to 8lb.

6/29 used the 8lbs marris and efficiency is only 63% og 1.040 maybe do 8.75lb next time? will see the FG

7/20 FG 1.012. This batch is a fail. strange bitter flavor only 3.81% no malt flavor. I will not be taking this to B and S. likely need to go to at least 8.75 Marris if not 9 lb.
