Notes
Heat 3.4 quarts of water to 165F. Steep grains at 154F for 45 minutes. While steeping begin heating 2.25 gallons of water in brewpot. When steep is over remove 1.1quarts of water from brewpot to grain tea in steeping pot. Place colander over brewpot and place grain bag in it. Pour grain tea through grain bag. Heat liquid in brewpot to a boil. Stir in dried malt extract, add the 60 min. hops and begin with the boil. With 15 min left in boil, add next addition of hops. Turn off the heat and add the lme. stir well to dissovle and resume heating. At the end of the boil, cool wort and transfer to fermenter, adding enough water to make 5 gallons. Pitch yeast and ferment at 70F. Dry hop at end of fermentation.
