Priming
Method: Corn Sugar       Amount: 3/4 cup       CO2 Level: 4 Volumes
 
Notes
  • Add 2.5 gal of water to the kettle, heat to 155 F
  • Steep oat and wheat for 30 min
  • Remove kettle from burner and add LME slowly while stiring
  • Return to boil
  • Add @ 60min 1 oz Saaz ; @ 30min 0.5 oz Hallertau ; @ 15 min Irish moss
  • Sanitize the fermenter; add 2 gal cold water
  • Chill the wort to 70-80 F as quickly as possible (chiller)
  • Pour the wort through a strainer and top up the fermenter up to 5.5 gallon
  • Oxigenate (O2) for 30 seconds
  • take a gravity read as soon the temperature reach 68F
  • pitch the yeast
  • seal the fermenter
