I messed up this brew! Pre-boil gravity was way higher than the 1.037 predicted-turned out 1.050. Panicked and started adding water at the start of the boil. Mash thickness was 3strike water:1 grist. High Voltage Man from BF Forum suggested my efficiency was set too low in my calculator (70%), he suggested 84%.
I will be fiddling with this number in my next few brews. I will have various clones of this beer to see what pre-boil efficiency works best: 84% or 94%.
