Jackson's Stein is the name of our homebrewery. It's namesake is our constant companion who has been with us since the start. We have gradually expanded our brewing operations as we discover new techniques and equipment to try. Since my wife and I both enjoy beer, it's a great hobby for us to do together (and our friends certainly benefit as well!).
We don't tend to brew too many dark beers, instead favoring lagers, kolsch's, IPAs, and the like. Most beers fall more towards the session style as we've not yet ventured into any high gravity concoctions. Most of our recipes come from Northern Brewer or Williams, although we do brew a red ale that was developed by my wife's uncle many years ago. As we gain confidence, we aim to tweak our existing recipes and try to make up our own.
