This was my first beer, it wasn't what I was shooting for but was still very enjoyable. This ended up having a distinct pink grapefruit taste, and I want to attribute it to the Pacific Gem hops that I will be eliminating on the next try.
I don't have a way to measure IBU's, but as an IPA lover, I know this ended up having way more IBU's than the projected 24, so it didn't hurt my feelings, but wasn't what I was trying for.
I dropped the hop pellets directly into the wort so I couldn't fish them out. I read about studies that showed that it doesn't add alpha acid after flame out... I think it does, and removing the hops after the boil time is the take aware for me here.
