Herneitä liotetaan vedessä yön yli (hernekeitto reseptin mukaisesti)
Mäskäys 66 asteessa.
Huuhteluvetenä käytetään vettä jossa herneet liotettiin.
Keittovaihe kestää 2h (reseptin mukaan) ja herneet lisätään heti alussa.
