Mash Ph was showing 5.68 with a cheap meter at mash temp. I left it at this level because Kveik has a twang on its own and I didn't want to add acidity/sourness. We will see if this was a mistake. |

Notes
I do an eHERMs recirculating mash for 3+ hours while I go about my day, followed by a 172F mashout. Temperature never drops due to recirculation.
I use a cheap drill-operated barley crusher to a nice consistency that has very minimal flour. I no longer crush fine due to a clogged false bottom more recently, and have just adjusted my efficiencyto about 76.
I boil for 75 minutes due to an inaccurate water/equipment loss calculation. I will adjust this by 0.5g next time.
