I have kegs for 12.5 gallons, but only room in the fridges for 5 gallons. I have materials for a classic German pils, and just put a rye pils on tap.
I’m looking at using up whatever local hops I grow probably in a September brew; 99.5% Cascade, maybe a few Cashmere - like half a dozen cones, and not sure if the 2 Triumph bines will yield anything. With Cascade, I’m thinking APA and a big, beautiful whirlpool with my new riptide pump.

I’m also looking at a Cascadian Dark Ale sometime down the road.

I just put these together today, with a little inspiration to brew again. My kegs are empty, my neighbor fishing buddies like what I brew, so it is time to get to work.

The las JACC IPA went too fast, brewing another as I write this, Then a California Common followed by some small batch English Bitter experiments, I got 5 pounds of Crisp Heritage Chevalier on sale.

I have been busy brewing lately for our clubs upcoming annual competition The Liquid Poets Society Poetry Slam.

I will have 4 entries
Kentucky Common in conditioning now
Cream Ale moving to cold crash today
JACC IPA Brewing now
California Common Brewing sometime this week

I've sort of settled on a next brew but need to check if I got the correct yeast.
And find time, I keep being disturbed, just when I want to start.
Going to run low on time as I like to do multiple brews with 1 yeast (using trub) but I'll be away in a bit over a months time, so that will be tricky esp since a fridge will be out of commission during that period and another one will be full of food for my dogs
Gotta figure out some logistics

Progress is made.
The logistics will sort of work so I'm going to chance it.
Found 1/2 pack M47 (abbey) and going to use that.

Xtra pale ale (80%) sugar (10%) aromatic malt (10%)
Fuggle as fwh and 15 minutes & saaz at hopstand
I'll add some limes to the mash.
Fermenting at around 18 oC

Yeah right,
It's fermenting and all well, but I forgot the limes.
I reduced aromatic malt, so I can replicate this recipe once before running out (only if I like it obviously).
I reduced sugar as well.
88 % xtra pale ale
6 % sugar
6 % aromatic malt

Just thinking about it as my current batch should be ready end of the week and next can go on the trub.
I'm thinking similar to what I did, but splitting the xtra pale ale malt into xtra pale ale and vienna. Keeping the sugar and aroma malt.
Changing saaz into perle or select spalt as saaz is almost finished. Slightly lower IBU.

Everyone Must Always have a Porter in bottles or on tap. It is the perfect beer any time of the year. You may even want to experiment with adding a little smoked malt to your grain bill.
