Notes

begin heating 1 gallon of water in 1.5 gallon or larger pot, while heating, add sorghum syrup and candi syrup to boil pot and stir well. continue stirring occasionally to prevent scorching and bring mixture to a boil. while waiting for the mixture to boil place 2 packets of the northern brewer hops into hop sack, tie it closed and trim away the excess material. once your mixture is boiling, add the hop sack and start a timer for 30 minutes. once this mixture has been boiling for 25 minutes, open the last packet of hops and add them directly into the mixture and let it boil for 5 more minutes and then remove from heat. allow the mixture to cool for 5 minutes . add wort to fermenter containing 1 gallon of cold water. top up to the 2 gallon mark. pitch yeast.
