For Saffron - Crumble the threads with pestle and mortar (1g should be about 1t crumbled). Move crumble threads to a dry glass bowl. Add two small ice cubes and allow them to melt into the saffron. When it reaches room temperature add .5 cup boiling water. Allow to steep for 20-30 minutes and cool to room temperature. Strain the saffron from the tea. Add the tea to the wort when it reaches pitching temperature.
For Hibiscus - Bring 4 cups of water to a boil. Turn off heat and add the hibiscus petals. Steep for 30 minutes. Strain and add tea to the secondary fermenter.
