Notes

The base beer is a British Golden Ale. Hops are not used. The bitterness comes from the grapefruit peel and ginger tea introduced in the final 15 minutes of the boil.

The ginger tea ingredients include: lemongrass, ginger, peppermint, licorice root, and black pepper. This particular blend originated from the Edenton Tea Company in Edenton, North Carolina.
