While using the same malt profile as previous brew, different hops and a cold crash almost completely eliminated the haze that I was going for. The previous version maintained great haze throughout the entire keg. While an initial pour from this batch had the nice haze, the remaining pours did not as it all fell out of suspension. In addition, the bitterness for this was much higher than I expected/wanted out of this style. Overall, the beer itself is not bad, but it lends itself to an american IPA (think midwest IPA) which blends the New England and West Coast styles. |
