Random thought for the day

You know when you do something and you think it might go wrong and still you do it?

So, the cork of my nice whisky disintegrated. No problem, I just sif the whisky and pour in an old clean wine bottle, same as I use for water.
OK, should I mark it. Ah no, I will remember and I can always smell and I know.

Now I boil my water (safety as it is river water), cool an pour in...
Yes, old wine bottles
And I top up the ones that are partly full.

So tonight, I want a whisky for st Patrick, but it is gone!

So tonight is passion juice, gin & water (no tonic either).
Tomorrow I need to check all water bottles.
With a bit of luck there was enough whisky to still drink.
Definitely need to do this before using it to dilute wort.

And all it would have taken was a piece of masking tape and a sharpie :(
 
Not all is lost :)
Found the bottle and the dilution is pretty much to taste.
For as much as you can assess that early morning after just having brushed your teeth :rolleyes:

Wow. Brushing your teeth in the morning with whisky.
I wish I could come visit for a week, I think we'd have fun. Just not possible though, sorry. :(

Yeah, considering you'd be the only one I know within the continent, I'd ping you for sure. I speculate all your neighbors know you, so I could probably find you. But I'm not brave enough for a surprise visit...:eek:

OMG, I think I’ve lost my mind. This morning I made the commitment to really get back into skiing. I just purchased a season pass for Willamette Pass Resort, where I have skied each of the past 2 Thursdays. Gotta make good use of the new boots and skis I purchased earlier this month, and the new ski jacket that I bought today.
But I will still be making beer, don’t you worry.

Thanks for the justification.
I also bought my fishing license today, and went fishing for the first time in I don’t know how long. No fish caught, not even a bite, but I enjoyed a nice walk and observed some cool wildlife. I got to see an osprey catch a trout, and a bald eagle flew over and seemed to be eyeing the lure I was casting.
 
I poured my first cider of the day at 16.00
Now, if I have 1 glass of cider or beer every hour, I will be on number 6 when the zoom meeting starts.....
 
That could make for an interesting meeting.
 
And that is pacing myself
Taking it real slow....

No wayto check as it was only zoom with sound problems, nothing else
So time will tell :)
Updated zoom and loaded it on laptop as well.
Camera was working by the way
