This beer was reviewed by several friends who flew in from the UK.
They loved it. It was best described as "not far off" from Doom Bar

Made a good beer but definitely not Doom Bar. Maybe Black Patent is different stuff in the UK, but this came out tasting more like a black lager but overly hop forward and without a clean bitterness. I'm going to try again with Special B instead of Black Patent, and moving the second hop addition to 30 minutes and 2 oz. If it comes out anything closer to DB, will report back.
