Notes
TruBrew Homebrew Kit. Changed hops from Cascade to Delta (spicy, earthy, ginger, citrusy), otherwise standard extract brew with specialty grains, per instructions:
Add specialty grains to 3/4 gallon water @ 175F; 20 min covered, stirring occasionally; drain (don't squeeze) & rinse.
2.5 gal water to kettle, plus wort from above, heat to boiling; turn heat off for a minute, add 1st can of malt, stir to dissolve, turn heat back on and return to boil.
@ 60 min, add 1 oz hops.
@ 15 min pause timer, turn heat off, add 2nd can of malt, stir to dissolve, turn heat back on and return to the boil. Restart timer & add 2nd 1 oz hops.
@ 5 min, add 3rd 1 oz hops.
Cool, rack to fermenter and make up to 5 gallons.
Measure OG, oxygenate & pitch yeast.
