Overall, pleased with this brew. However, this batch came off as much more stone fruit forward with not as much caramel notes. This is possibly due to hop batch and not using a bourbon barrel which provided more caramel/sweetness to the previous batch. Will either continue to barrel age or look into more caramel malt/longer boil to bring out more of the caramel notes. |
