Can’t believe there was that much extra in my keg. I knew my volume was higher than expected but still. Festbier/Kellerbier. Notice it’s clearing some. Can’t wait until September to try the laggered keg!
Whipped blued cheese on those crispy sprouts, so good! As usual when we visit Ninkasi’s Better Living Room, we had a plate of fresh, briny oysters - delectable. And an added bonus, we got to meet brewer Jamie Floyd.
Tropical IPA. Overcarbed a bit and only on day 2 of keg hops, so it'll settle out still. Very hoppy from the Mosaic, Citra, and Azacca keg hops. Good level of bitterness. Still a little too "juicy" for my liking
After touring our potential new home while it was being inspected, we took the substantial, but inspirational walk to Falling Sky. She’s sipping Upside Brown, while I’m having 3 Magic Letters IPA. Things are looking really good for us, and we should be living in Eugene before the month is done.
Perfect timing....I listened to an interview on Experimental Brewing today with a former Ninkasi employee who went off to start her own beer lab there in Oregon....she said that it's a great brewery with great food. Meanwhile, Ward's Munich Cluster Smash is tasting mighty good!
While waiting for our ride back to the airport in Portland, we’re at Steelhead Brewery in Eugene. On the left, I’m drinking Hazy Hefeweizen, while she sips a Tangerine Kolsch. Both are tasty.
It certainly is vibrant, with lots of great breweries to choose from. I just hope to find a good lhbs.
