Two babies...

Congratulations Steve! They look beautiful! Continuing to send prayers your way.

Thanks all!

Latest update:
Ruby has unfortunately earned herself a breathing tube and antibiotics for possible pneumonia.
Hunter seems to be doing fine on CPAP and they might even be able to reduce the pressure for him.

Thanks all!

Just got back to NICU today. Ruby has been extubated which is great and is back on bubble CPAP. Hunter might come off of his today

So they are wanting to discharge Mom tomorrow. Hunter is breathing fine sans CPAP and they're trying him off his IV. If he's able to feed ok he might be well on his way to coming home too. Ruby is still "grunting" when she tries to breathe off of the CPAP but her nurse seems pretty confident she won't need it much longer. Don't want to get ahead of ourselves but seems like maybe there's a chance they could come home this week

Sounds like everything is heading in the right direction, congratulations!

Congrats Steve! They look like babies, can confirm. ;) Hope everyone is home safe at this point.

So mom has been home a few days and is doing well. It's almost kinda a silver lining that the babies are receiving 24/7 care while she's recovering from her whole ordeal. Babies are doing well and have been switched to a team of doctors that handles less acute/high risk cases. They're actually in a place where they could be transferred to the "step down" NICU but that's only really likely to happen if another set of twins comes in that would need their room. Ruby is still on respiratory assistance but the absolute lowest level. Basically just those nose tubes you sometimes see. She's actually now breathing room air just at slightly increased pressure. Both are feeding well and the temperature on their little incubators has been steadily coming down. Might be able to go to a normal bed/bassinet soon. Hopefully in the next week one or both can come home. Nurse seems to think they shouldn't be here past Thanksgiving.

In 18 years it'll all be a find memory.

For this moment, know that god is with you all.

Baby girl is a graduate!

The Saga is finally over! So a couple days ago Hunter ripped out his NG tube (tube that runs through your nose into your stomach) twice and instead of replacing it the nurse decided to give him a chance to take all his feedings by mouth. At that point he was only taking about 50% orally but our little boy stepped up and met the challenge. Discharged today and after a month and a half or more of me going back and forth to the hospital we finally have our whole family back home. Thanks again for all the prayers and all the support

Awesome! So happy for the whole family.
