My cooler is a tube shell exchanger so I have collected just the condensate. Clean looking but quite beer smelling...

I fill a 5 gallon bucket and then some, so it works well to cip the boil kettle after
Is the water discolored at all?
Not that it matters, just curious.
A little wasteful of me, but not as wasteful as sending my chilling water directly to drain.
It would be easier for me to save some of that for clean up, I really should do that...
I have this three way valve to send hot water from the chiller to the drain.
I set it up so I could divert it to a buck, why haven't I been doing that...

It's usually pretty clear I guess, it goes into a dirty cleaning bucket, so I don't really know, lol

I'm not sure if I am wasting water or not,
I have a well in the back yard and a septic tank in the front yard. So I think I am just moving water around a bit.

Good info, thanks. I’m headed to indoor brewing, and have a choice on how to dispose of the ‘clear’ water.
