But it is essentially pure water, yes?
Plus whatever particulate may be in the steam. Haven't ever saved to see if it discolored at all, will drain it to a bucket next time and see
 
My cooler is a tube shell exchanger so I have collected just the condensate. Clean looking but quite beer smelling...
 
I fill a 5 gallon bucket and then some, so it works well to cip the boil kettle after

A little wasteful of me, but not as wasteful as sending my chilling water directly to drain.
It would be easier for me to save some of that for clean up, I really should do that...
I have this three way valve to send hot water from the chiller to the drain.
I set it up so I could divert it to a buck, why haven't I been doing that...

It's usually pretty clear I guess, it goes into a dirty cleaning bucket, so I don't really know, lol
