I brewed today!

Brew day......at last.
Well it was actually last week but I did the Butty Bach clone (British ale) BIAB, all went well 1046 og. And did a no chill cube due to ground water not being that cool and then got it into the fermenter the following day and pitched which seem to start bubbling within a couple of hrs like mad.
All in all fairly successful considering I'm returning back to brewing so with a couple of silly mistakes the final post boil amount wasn't quite where I wanted it but we'll get there I'm sure.
Happy brewing chaps

Never had this happen on a Märzen ... August Lager before.

I had 1.062 pre-sparge at 5.5 gallons of wort. I sparged to 8.5 gallons and had 1.053 Yay me, that’s about 87% efficiency on the mash. I had to cut it with 2 gallons of water to keep it where I wanted (not looking for an Imperial ‘Fest Lager yet)

good thing I have spare kegs laying around.

Knocked out my first all-grain brew this weekend. The recipe was a Sierra Nevada clone from the Malt Miller down in England (I used a recipe for my first all-grain batch just to get a feel for the process), that uses Strata hops instead of Citra. All went well apart from using a Britta pitcher as a filter, which took forever. The recipe's target OG was 1.052 but I ended up with 1.064, so I feel like things went alright. Two days on and this sucker's gently bubbling away and smells like heaven. Looking forward to bottling and then enjoying!

Nice!
Let us know how it turns out.
Will you be bottling, or kegging?
