I brewed today!

Fullers ESB clone. My tilt battery was dead, fortunately I was able to use my friends. First time using a starter (expired yeast) and its bubbling away! Fermenting in the keg and overfilled it again, DOh! . Had to replace spunding valve with a blow off tube and remove unfortunately quite a bit of krausen to create more headspace. There was quite a bit of pressure built up!

Brewed the 2026Q1 yesterday. The yeast (Imperial A10 Darkness) was near expiration date so, I decided to do a viability starter instead of pitching once the wort was in the fermenter. After 5 hours on the stir plate there was no signs of activity. So took a chance and did not pitch it but, left it on the stir plate overnight. This morning there are signs, although not a ton, of fermentation activity. I'll pitch it in a little bit and hope it's not too much of an underpitch or any nasties got a head start before I pitch.

Yesterday was sunny and temps was about 55°F (13°C) so it was t-shirt weather.

We'll the drought is finally over. Been 14 months since i brewed! But a dunkle - Weiss is in the fermenter. Feels good to be back at it
in the keg and carbonating now. came out pretty good. 1pt(1.049) shy on the OG and 3pts (1.011) low on the FG. tastes really good though.

Hour into the boil. Beautiful day here. 48f and not a cloud in the sky
For me, that would require long johns, a parka, gloves and an open fire and I'd be sh sh shivering the whole time. Or hibernation.

I'm brewing today, changed my next brew to the brewdog pyisics, It's going wellView attachment 34234View attachment 34233View attachment 34235

I haven't set up the chiller without moving hoses yet but it's in the works

I just did a bunch of quick connect fittings; fermenters to glycol chiller, and my pump to kettle connections. I want to get to all my stuff connected ahead of time, no hose swapping during the brew day. I like the valve setup.

hard to see but I now have the chiller set up without changing hoses, the only issues with this set up is constant cleaning
