Bent Nail 2.0

Looks good! I really like the articulated arm. The DIY hoist I built in the basement, between two floor joists, has no sideways movement.

Issue with the hook idea is that you can't redirect the basket once lifted .

This arm or an overhead tract can relocate and lower it.

Yup, but my brewery is on wheels. It's a raise the bridge or lower the river kind of thing

Sure you can. The rope is flexible, and pushing the 25-ish pound basket a foot or two off center is easy.

I should make a video.

But the real reason is I’m jealous.

So after all that, i never used it. It just seemed too flimsey. Moving hot liquid with it seemed like a disaster waiting to happen. So I redesigned to this. It easily lifts the bucket and handles dynamic loads with no sign of flex or buckling

Changing the mash set up. Doing a double boiler of sorts to control and maintain temps. Water in the outer pot will be recirculated and heated via an inning heating element .

Mash will drain out the bottom of the inner pot via a port on the outer pot (hose connected between them)
