pitched slurry from a 2L starter after cooling wort to 53 F. aerated wort for 15 mins with aquarium pump and diffusion stone. got a very vigorous fermentation (for a lager, anyways) that looks like it will be ready for diacetyl rest within 96 hours of pitching.
