Notes

5/12/18: Today we're making a beer in a style no one (that we know of) has consciously attempted: an American-style pale ale with all European ingredients! We call it a European Pale Ale. Pretty clever, huh?

Anyway, this is intended to be about 5%, 40-ish IBU and consists of a grist of UK 2-row, Golden Promise, Belgian pilsner and German dark Munich malt. Some new-school German hops and some standbys are featured to give this strong, juicy citrus aromas and flavors along with some light spice and pine/grassiness. This will be fully fermented with a Kölsch ale yeast.
