Moved my fermenter to the garage. This bitter will sit at the mid 50’s in the garage to condition then be drank. Should be a nice 4% bitter.
The 6" probe would be more accurate but, I can't imagine not cursing it every time I was doughing in and trying to get rid of dough balls. I don't mash in a kettle so this is just my sub 2¢ opinion.Debating adding a bulkhead and thermometer to my mash tun. Does anyone who mashes in their kettle have one and like it or hate it? The 6 inch probe would provide more accurate temps but make stirring difficult. And the 2 inch probe wouldn't show the mash temp from the center of the mash tun
Ya, you don't to catch your bag on it!My kettle has one and I like having it. I just do t hit it when I stir and I am careful removing the bag.
