Had to clean up my keezer last night. Went to the garage yesterday afternoon and the carpet scrap in front of my keezer was soaked and the garage smelled like a spilled IPA. Unfortunately, the PicnicTap 2.0 had a slow leak. It seems the o ring where it attaches to the disconnect was torn and started to leak It must have leaked From Sunday night until it ran out of beer and then ran my CO2 cylinder empty. Leaving beer foam and beer inside the keezer and beer leaking out of the defrost weep in the bottom drain of the keezer spilling across the floor. Probably half of a keg of IPA lost as well.

So Today, I need to go to the LHBS and swap out my CO2 canister

That's awful. One more reason to brew more beer.

She should be carbed by now, but will keep checking.
I was pretty pleased with the clarity of my previous beer, so I'll try to give it plenty time before drinking (hence no picnic tap attached)

For the past several weeks, fly fishing has occupied most of my free time, while a bag of grain waits to be crushed and brewed into a tasty beer. Carry on!

Tying flies might make me go blind, but it does interest me. My late brother was a fly tier.
Yes, my batches are still small - 2.5 gallons fills my kegs.

Shit, getting old sucks. I can't even tie a pompano rig on a surf rod anymore without glasses. Luckily, I can take the old glasses to the beach and not give a damn if they get salty, sandy, or lost in the water. The new ones are a little expensive for that.

So, I was thinking...
Maybe look at no chill to reduce active brew time.

Weigh & mill grains
Bring water to temp and mash in
Mash while you do something else. Shopping, tying flies, looking at new fly fishing rods (I generally mash 2 to 4 hours)
Sparge, bring to boil, boil, cover & seal. No chill. Spend the afternoon fly fishing
Next day decant to fermenter & go fish again

Not today, Wednesday actually.
With fermentation probably half done, I added a fairly hefty drop hop addition. After popping the lid back on the krausen starting erupting. Worried that it would get into the spunding valve, I popped it off quick. Pressure built back up pretty quick and it settled down, then I put the spunding valve back on, all in a days work I guess!
This is moments before I realized that Mount Krausen was erupting
