What are you doing with homebrew today?

I’m arguing with my tilt about when and where it should be providing readings. It seems to not like my insulated 14 gallon fermenter very much.

Threaten it. It worked for me.

My stainless tank has a 4” TC at top, I made one from polycarbonate, it helped a bit. My ferm fridge is also stainless, I have my Pi Zero right next to the plastic doir seal so it picks up the tilt signal. We’re dealing with low power here, so distances need to be small. Even a sealed keg will leak RF a bit, if you’re close enough.

Today brewed a third beer for the week, an ESB
Also mesured grains out for the next 3. Plan on dumping on the cakes as they come due. First another summer wheat on the Schneider Weiss cake then a Sip of Sunshine on the Julius cake. The ESB cake will be for an oyster stout which I need to get grain for. I also need a German ale yeast for an Altbier I've measured out

Ok, I gave that tilt a choice; Straighten up, or I sell it to a brewer who does sour beer
so THERE.

Here is literally the ONLY place I get a reading on both my phone and this inexpensive tablet.
I think I may upgrade to a tilt mini pro to see if that helps. I’ve only seen the issue in my pressure capable fermenter, which is a bit more stout than my other fermenters.

You'll all not be surprised I changed my mind again.
Next up will be a simple ginger concoction on old trub and probably some beer that stays behind (when the keg is full).
Just water, sugar and a little hop (maybe some lime juice or peel). Boiling only for the sugar to dissolve

What is this voodoo of which you speak
