    They're Scottish, they do things differently up there :) Interesting name though and it seems that 'loof' in old Scottish is 'palm' so Cross My Loof would be 'cross my palm' which, I guess, is 'cross my palm with silver'

    And a place near there sells yeast. And brews beer.
    In fact, after British post tore open the Belgian yeast packet, I was still able to collect enough of them tiny little baqlls-o-yeast to make two starters, ending up with the Ukranian Belgian Syla Strength quarterly brew. @AHarper knows the story.
