Passion fruit saison half deciding it wants to boil the pid was at 98.5 and pulsing I found 98.9 did the trick. I find if set to 100 it just switches on with no pulse.

Yeah it's a commercial 50lt keg preboil volume is supposed to be around 24lt so keg half full or empty depends on how brew day is going lol.
I've never had a boil over but I've done the odd double batch I FWH I've herd this reduces boil overs I can attest to that.

I got home and took a gravity reading f it read 1.040 so no real movement on the starter gravity.
The starter was starting to fire I saw a little krausen forming. I think the 6month old yeast wasnt very viable.
I've left it spinning thought in the sake of err science or bad beer
