Used to take highway 11 all the way to Cochrane for week long fly in fishing trips for walleye and pike.
Cochrane definitely would be considered Northern Ontario, that is pretty much another 5 hours north of where I am!

And we flew an additional hundred miles north on a pontoon and dropped off for a week at a time. Then, we had kids and that was the end of those days.

Been camping on the southern Oregon coast the past week and although the fishing has been fun, the catching is really tough. Did manage to catch a jack salmon though. Bacon wrapped salmon medallions were excellent.

Ahh life on the road doesn't get much better than that!

To prevent over cooking the fish I used the cheap really thin bacon. They came out perfect.

Nice!
I miss crabbing off of the pier next to the Rogue brewery. Never got any keepers, but plenty of beer to drown our disappointment in :)
Did you stop in Coos Bay on the way up the coast? Shark Bites café is a great stop for lunch there.

We been south on this trip. Brookings and Gold Beach. Heading home today. Brewing Saturday:)

Ah, figured you would have been heading up the coast from Gold Beach. Be safe!

Two years ago we sold our big white box camper and swore I’d never get another big camper....this weekend we took out our brand new tiny camper and had a blast.

That's pretty cool! I like that outside kitchen area.

Sweet little camper Mase.
The Manufacturers (NuCamp) are Amish/German and worked with their European counterparts to bring the European style campers to the US. At least that’s what a camper we chatted with yesterday said and he seemed fairly knowledgeable of the details.

Very nice I've seen similar campers here in Aus a bit of luxury too.

I dig it! Wifey and I were talking about one of these as a maybe thing. Do you really need that big ass pick-up to pull it or is that the car with the trailer hitch?
