Black beer styles for Summer

How do you argue with that logic!
I would highly recommend, if he would be obliging enough to grant you license, to Brew the Shady Bohemian.
This a long overdue rebrew for me, will definitely be getting back to this one in the next few months
+1 for Shady Bohemian.

I'll bet you can make both and serve them side by side and let the customer decide
Might be fun

Very soft water profile, this was what I used in 29 liters of RO for Shady Bo, and the resulting profile

Shady Bo was a quarterly brew from @Tim Bulin
It is that particular recipe I recommended. It is posted somewhere around here. Maybe in the Quarterly Brews forum.
It was the first one, beginning of the list.

The current version swaps out the uses Saaz for the 2nd hop addition, tried it with all Saaz once, and Sterling another time. Cluster up front and Saaz at the back of the boil has been my favorite.

I see you knocked back the SRM from the one I found which is nice

We drank a lot in Bohemia last fall and they weren't as dark as a Dunkel or Schwartz
