Recipe editor for extract brewing only

Hello, Apologies if I'm not posting in the right category. I've searched the forum but didn't find the answer to my question: I'm a new beginner homebrewer and for now I'm only brewing small batches (1 gallon) with DME (or LME). I'd like to record my recipes and batches here in Brewer's...

    Re-use mash profile

I've searched but haven't found anything on this. If there is not currently a way to do it, I'd like to see a way of creating different mash profiles (temps and durations) and then being able to select that profile in the recipe design rather than having to do this from scratch each time. Thanks

Bug in quick water requirements when fermenter is target volume

Hi, I think there's a bug when selecting the fermenter as the target volume, and then looking at the quick water requirements. It does not appear to be taking into account the grain absorption into the overall total (this is an extract & specialty grains recipe), or 'water into kettle' volumes...

Adjuncts no longer in Steeping Grains (Extract)?

I designed a recipe last month and specified an Adjunct (i.e. Flaked Oats) as the Steeping Grain. When trying to edit and save today, the drop down for the Steeping Grains is blank, and I get the error message "Error: Steeping Grain was not found!" when trying to save. Is this new behavior?

    Hop Sort

Has anybody got a problem with the hop sort button? Basically, instead of sorting the hops into a logical order, on each click, it gradually deletes chosen additions, but not all. Very strange? Fix available? Tried reloading etc, but it's still the same.

Recipe "Snapshot" - Purpose and Use

I have about a half dozen brews under my belt using the Brewers Friend recipe and tracking software. On my last brew, I triggered a "snapshot" of my recipe quite by accident. Now I have two of the same recipe listed. I'm puzzled. What's the purpose of "snapshot" and how should I be using it?

Recipe not showing in recipe list

I just brewed and the recipe I brewed with only shows under snapshot when I do a search for it. Is this the way it's supposed to work? Can someone elaborate? Thanks!

IBU's with First Wort Hopping - Recipe Looks off

I'm trying to add .55 ounces of Nelson Sauvin AA 12 % as a first wort hop in an attempt at an Alpine Nelson Clone. My recipe editor displays 13.88 IBU's for a first wort hopping, very low. If I change the same hops to a 60 minute boil, the IBU's are 22.92. It is my understanding a first wort...

    Fermentable Percentage by Contribution

The Recipe Editor gives the percentage by weight of each fermentable in the recipe. For example, if I made a trippel with 13lbs pilsner and 2lbs sugar, the "fermentables" portion of the calculator would report that the fermentables comprise 86.67% pilsner malt and 13.33% cane sugar. It does...
