    Favorites for a Hazy NEIPA?

Two questions: 1) What is your favorite yeast for a Hazy NEIPA? 2) What is your favorite hop combination, and how do you add them? Am fine-tuning my hazy recipe, and would welcome your thoughts, thanks!

Amount Packaged Estimate Ignores Dry Hops

When you track your brew session steps, it would be great if the Amount Packaged estimate took into account dry hops and trub. The greater the volume of dry hops, and the greater the ABV, the less you will package. Or am I missing a whole module that already takes these into account?

Advice on Finings to clear a beer

Recently brewed an English mild with Safale English Ale S-04, cold crashed, and yet there are major floaties. Pretty much a new thing for me since my process usually produces clearer beers. Have a Kolsch that has wheat and cold haze, but no floaties for example. So my question is - use...

    Mechanics of Carbonation

Basic question regarding carbonating a keg. Rather than keep my tank on and hooked up to the keg, I’d rather hook it up once or twice a day. Don’t love taking the risk that a small leak can drain my whole tank. What am I missing in terms of the mechanics here? Does constant carbonation...

What is your approach to degas beer for a Gravity reading?

Question for those fermenting under pressure - how do you degas your beer sample to take a gravity reading? My hydrometer requires about 7 ounces to float. Have been tossing beer from glass to glass for an eternity, and still have bubbles…

15 min boil hops vs. Whirlpool

I brewed a batch of NEIPA last night, and made a late night blunder. Planning to add a small amount of Galena hops at 15 min left in the boil, and grabbed my big Mosaic hops Whirlpool addition instead. In it went, and so decided to go with no whirlpool and threw in the Galena then as well...

Considering buying a 5 gallon keg and interested in advice. Reconditioned okay? Which Vendors are reliable? 5 lb CO2 big enough to start? Picnic tap ok? Regulator brand? Looking to get started, but don’t want to end up replacing stuff in a year. Also - should I get two if I want to ferment...
