I am not sure i could hit a target@ 100 yards with a 45. Not reliablely

They're is that too, but just not sure a 45 round would make it without some serious lobbing

It’s not as hard as you might think once you have the hold over. My ICORE gun is a S&W 627 8x.357 magnum. I started out single action on a silhouette target, then balloons, then double action on the silhouette then finally d/a on the balloons at 100. Not the kind of shot you take on the move if you can help it, but doable with practice.

Red dot helps quite a bit

I know about them, but i don't have any revolvers.

I do have a dot on my 1911. Would just have to sight it in for that distance.
357 has allot more muzzle velocity too. I shoot 185gr in competition, so they are about 1100ft/sec. Fast for 45
 
I enjoy fixing old rifles from time to time, hobby is getting pretty spendy these days. I may have to go back to swearing at(learning to play) my guitar, that's been an on again off again thing for 30 years with me(I'm, up to 5 chords LOL)

Other than that been doing a little DJ and karaoke as a side hustle since '99. I've considered that maybe I'm going to get too old to rock and roll eventually...

My Contenders are all scoped. The handgun versions are in 223 and 25 caliber 223-based wildcat. I had a scoped 44 mag that I routinely shot at 100 yards with great accuracy. I can't shoot anything without a scope these days. :)
 
Should be able to hit 100 yards with this. :p

I have my grandfathers SandW 52 and another long barrel target revolver. my grandfather was VERY into target shooting. These two have triggers that are legit frighteningly light.

I prefer my ddi AK and clapped out 20 year old XDM 9mm.

I bought my xdm9 when i still lived in MD back in probably 2010. I have thousands of rounds of steel case shit ammo through it lol never failed. very loosy goosy at this point but still reliable and very accurate. i shoot better with the xdm then with my czsp01 with its single action trigger.

My brother has an xd in 45. He says he likes it

I have a Springfield 1911, it is a fun gun to shoot. Did a could mods to the trigger to lighten and shorten it. Changed the spring guide to a full length, about it

One of my XDm .45's has around 57,000 rounds through it, the other about 12,000.
There have been I think 4 malfunctions. One was a sideways primer (reloaded), another was a primer not fully seated. 1 unexplained failure to chamber and the stainless slide broke at the catch. It still worked but would not lock back.
My Echelon has not fared as well, having 5 malfunctions in around 13,000 rounds. 3 failures to feed, back to S/A, returned no problem found. magazine disassembled on its own and another FTF. I requested a new extractor and spring and it's been good ever since - about 4500 rounds now. I do not like the 6 o'clock sights. They co-witness with the red dot, but I just have trouble because every other handgun I have is point of aim, point of impact.
