Other hobbies

One of my XDm .45's has around 57,000 rounds through it, the other about 12,000.
There have been I think 4 malfunctions. One was a sideways primer (reloaded), another was a primer not fully seated. 1 unexplained failure to chamber and the stainless slide broke at the catch. It still worked but would not lock back.
My Echelon has not fared as well, having 5 malfunctions in around 13,000 rounds. 3 failures to feed, back to S/A, returned no problem found. magazine disassembled on its own and another FTF. I requested a new extractor and spring and it's been good ever since - about 4500 rounds now. I do not like the 6 o'clock sights. They co-witness with the red dot, but I just have trouble because every other handgun I have is point of aim, point of impact.
one of my good friends has a several thousand dollar race gun that is insanely picky on ammo and is not very reliable. When we were shooting together we would bet the range fees on "poker" targets...i rarely paid lol.

both my xdm and sp01 have been fed a steady diet of the cheapest dirtiest ammo that i can find with very very few failures that were not ammo related.

But if he feeds it the higher quality ammo it wants. Bet he would beat you in an IDPA style competition (assuming he knows how to shoot quickly)

I had 6 guns a few years ago, sold all when the family sold our hunting land, 4 22's from 1940 to 1970, 2 deer rifles, a british 303 and 3030-06 Springfield rifle, all got sent to the younger family

After sighting in. This was at 100 yards

Nice! 9 in, one out. What is that about 1.2MOA?

That is an 8" target. Instructions say it is 1 MOA per square. So maybe 1.2-1.5?

Only second time I have shot a rifle.

I don't actually don't personally know anyone who owns a gun

Actually, that's not entirely true, I do have some acquaintances who hunt, who obviously have rifles and or shot guns

Same here
I have a pellet pistol though.
Just to chase monkeys, but I use a katapult more often

I owned a hand gun (CZ-75) 15 years ago but the guys at the gun club were weird as hell and I got out of it. I have a Winchester 30-30 lever action currently but only shoot it occasionally cause I'm not into hunting and target shooting is expensive.

I like to garden and manage my woodlot for firewood
Not really a hobby just stuff I do

I'm iffy about hobbies, mostly just due to the old ADHD but metalworking and motorbiking are definitely on the list.
