Spruce Ale? A new one on me. What is it like?

It's hard to describe but, I would (poorly) describe it as an American Pale Ale with the aroma of a Christmas tree and a taste that matches that aroma. I love it. I mostly drink Alaska Brewing's Spruce IPA.

I brewed an El Dorado SMaSH on Saturday. It was a great brew day! Apart from the temp being about 93 F (34 C) and dew point near 70 F (21 C), that is.

Definite spruce aroma and a spruce/piney taste balanced with a nice, slight back sweetness. This is no novelty beer, it’s very drinkable. Every beer I have had from Yard’s has been good to very good. I’ve never been disappointed with anything from them.

It didn't really taste like it had much more malt flavor than a typical IPA, weirdly enough. The Centennial IPA was my favorite overall from this group

I came home from work to discover an invasion of ants in my kitchen - arrrggghhh. So after attacking their trail, then cleaning up - Simple Green is a great non-toxic option - it is time for a beer!

Drinking a sample of my ginger Ninger it's quite unlike any ginger beer I've done it's got that spicey warming ginger thing going on that sorta tongue tingle type thing but also a Spice type thing I think I've sorta overdone it a tad on the tumeric

See that yellow colour that's what colour it is.
Update gave the Mrs a sniff and her reaction was Woah in offence I said what's it smell like TUMERIC was her reply...
