How long have you been lagering it?Not here but got an email my keg shipped. Hopefully my lager is done then, wasn’t yesterday when I tasted it. It will be racked ASAP.

It’s still in the fermenter, Day 10. Figured I should be able to keg it Thursday. It will sit another 7-10 before i start drinking it. Krausen dropped 2-3 days ago. I’ll check it again before I rack. A keg makes a good secondary fermenterHow long have you been lagering it?
Bob, are you going to be doing the partial mash bit from now on?
Pity you can't put empty keg in keezer and push the beer in using co2 sorta like you do when you push it out Into your cupPretty much. Getting to the point that by the time brew day is over I'm a wreck. With partial mash figure I can cut some time off by multitasking. Also, not having to lift the malt pipe will be a big plus. Need to figure out something portable to lift kegs into the keezer now.
Have the makings for one last all grain batch. Ordering in extracts & specialty grains for the next 4 on Friday. May do the occasional all grain batch, but not often. Like Dirty Harry said, "A man has got to know his limitations.".
This would be tough for me as fermenter fridge is in the garage, and beer fridge is in the basement.Pity you can't put empty keg in keezer and push the beer in using co2 sorta like you do when you push it out Into your cup.
I've been doing this for a fair while now saves the sphincter and the back.

That's the spirit Bob let the co2 do the heavy lifting for youJust needed a younger and less feeble mind to think of that. Thanks Ben! Fermentation fridge is at the other end of the house, but I do have a hand truck. Pretty sure the Speidel will take enough pressure for transferring, and I have a beer out to beer out jumper and a long gas line in the keezer. Just need to put a gas in post in the lid and rig up an post to replace the spigot with.
A really really long transfer hose would work lolThis would be tough for me as fermenter fridge is in the garage, and beer fridge is in the basement.
I hooked up a Co2 line to cold crash recently just to keep o2 out. One or two PSI, 3 or 4 PSI should be plentyJust needed a younger and less feeble mind to think of that. Thanks Ben! Just need to sort out eating and working and you'll never have to leave the patio.A really really long transfer hose would work lol
Come to think of it I Brew - Ferment and Drink all in the one place outside on the patio where I belong![]()
Ah work gets in the road of a good timeJust need to sort out eating and working and you'll never have to leave the patio.
How's that lager?Keg delivered. Will transfer lager ASAP. Probably tomorrow assuming it’s ready. No diacetyl when I tasted Sunday. Or I should say no butter flavor. Not sure if I’ve ever tasted diacetyl. Got a few extra pounds of Maris otter since I’ll be close by the time I finish the next 3 brews.
Didn’t get home until 10 last night I plan to keg this eveningHow's that lager?
