Notes

A cross between English Abbot Ale and Hob Goblin.

Add Protofloc tablet 15 mins into Boil or Irish Moss

1 teaspoon of Calcium Chloride

Strike Water 15 litres circa at 72 C then mash at 65 C for 1 hour. Using 2.77l/kg mash thickness.

Sparge Water, for 21 litres in the fermenter. Using 1.04 litres/kg water absorption.

Sparge Water - 16.5 litres circa.


Water boil off - 5 litres per hour circa. So a pre boil of 26 litres.

Wort came out to 4.5 to 5.5 PH level.

Next time will add 250g of Chocolate Malt, as needed more of a Chocolate taste, but as is, quite good.
